ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of Commercial Finance

The role is responsible for Understanding revenue growth and how to most efficiently drive net sales, profit, market and volume share is vital to delivering our overall business objectives. We’re looking for a passionate individual who is excited by analytics to insights and innovation vs. the status quo to join our Commercial Finance team to support our Revenue Growth Management (RGM) strategy.   

Reynolds American Incorporated (RAI) is positively transforming the tobacco industry and RGM will play a fundamental role in unlocking value in support of our corporate strategy and transformation journey.  This Director role will business partner across the commercial teams to provide value-added financial support in driving long term sustainable revenue and margin growth.  Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to, supporting our Traditional Categories pricing strategy, overseeing financial forecasts and business cases and providing thoughtful insights on key business decisions. This role will report to the Sr. Director Commercial Finance Revenue Capture.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Partner with multiple senior stakeholders and provide strategic and financial guidance to cross functional business partners
  • Present and communicate to senior stakeholders the forecasts, performance and potential risks/opportunities of financial performance
  • Provide stakeholders with meaningful analytics and insights into pricing initiatives
  • Provide stakeholders with meaningful analytics and insights regarding Traditional Categories financial performance
  • Provide leadership and coordination to drive continuous improvement in processes and efficiency within the commercial finance team
  • Coach, mentor and develop the team, providing career development planning and opportunities
  • Driving ad-hoc projects as required

CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?

  • Do you have experience in a business partnering Finance role supporting commercial functions?
  • Do you have experience in commercial pricing strategy?

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Proven track record of developing and delivering on complex commercial and corporate finance strategies
  • Experience in developing and leading cross functional teams
  • Strong business acumen.  Understand market dynamics and demand patterns
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to articulate financial strategy, results, and forecasts
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-pace and ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrate strategic and innovative thinking with strong influencing and leadership skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area
  • 8-10+ years of experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, or relevant area
  • CPA, MBA, MAC or international equivalent
