SALARY: AUD $120-140k + Super + other benefits

LOCATION: Sydney

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of Executive and Corporate Services- Indirect Procurement function. Our aim is to focus upon BAT Australia'a business continuity and risk management, delivering optimal total cost of ownership and business conditions whilst securing fit for purpose goods and services to meet the lead time, efficiency and innovation needs of the business.

Reports to: Procurement Business Manager

Reporting Level: Individual Contributor

Geographic Scope: Local

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

The development and execution of sourcing plans within Australia by:

• Ensuring the Australian category sourcing and contracts meet the business requirements through the execution of the strategic-sourcing process.
• Driving Local compliance to the relevant global policies, standards and platforms including the agreed Sourcing Management methodology and approach and to deliver robust terms and conditions that leads BAT’s service delivery and commercial risk.
• Being responsible for the process of sourcing execution to ensure delivery of our stakeholder requirements and targets.
• Owning commercial supply base management by building strong internal and external business relationships to ensure the delivery of the category goals.
• Facilitating the creation of supplier SLA’s and performance check-points where applicable.

CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?

Do you have full and Professional knowledge of procurement principals?

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Approximately three to five (3-5) years’ experience in a Procurement role, preferably in an FMCG organisation
• Detailed knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and competitor activity, and expected trends at a geographic / local level
• High level of commercial awareness
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Conversant with online Procurement Sourcing and Requisition-2-Pay platforms (eg. Coupa, Ariba)
• Proven negotiation skills and influencing skills: able to influence business partners and suppliers as well as the ability to be assertive if required to ensure compliance to contract
• MCIPS-qualified desirable
