British American Tobacco Algeria is looking for a Financial Planning and Reporting Manager Located in Algiers 

The role shall provide support to Algeria Finacial Director during the monthly financial planning and reporting cycles and act as focal point of contact covering the following key activities

  • Financial planning
  • Management reporting
  • Financial management (liquidity and cashflow)
  • Local Statutory compliance (including external audit, and tax compliance)
  • The ERP accounting system used include SAP & BPC.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the carry out of financial processes and budget control according to global planning requirements, facilitate timely and reliable information for the decision-making process.
  • Coordinate preparation of Balance Sheet & Cash Flow forecasts and analysis including meeting the Profit and Operating Cash Flow target
  • Consolidate financial information generated and report accurate financial position for a specific period.
  • Analyze financial information, actuals as well as budgeted, validate its integrity and facilitate the decision-making process at all levels.
  • Budget and financial monitoring of entities in direct responsibility.
  • Provide financial information (historical and forecasted) as well as analyses of real variations and tendencies to other departments, or functions, to give awareness on financial issues of company’s interest.
  • Guarantee quality, reliability and opportunity of financial information through the analysis and coordination with the different functions in the business
  • Coordinate month end closure activities
  • Develop financial models, presentations and reports that support the decision-making process by the Leadership team

Innovation:

  • Identify opportunities to build efficiencies in the planning and reporting processes and ways of working
  • Proactively identify new ways of working that increases efficiency in the business and enables implementation of the World Class Finance and effective operating model for the finance function

Engagement:

  • Maximize utilization of Group Finance Shared Services (GBS) by transferring high volume, rules based and transactional activities above market
  • Develop close working relationships within rest of Finance and networks outside of it (eg: Commercial Finance, Area Finance, SP&I team, Supply Chain team etc). Maximize engagement with all relevant stakeholders including, but not limited to, Banks and Audit team     

Essential requirements Knowledge, Skills and Experience : 

  • Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification in progress (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Good knowledge of international and local accounting standards
  • Relevant experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to coach and effectively lead other team members
  • Understanding of other functional areas, e.g. HR, Procurement, Marketing
  • An ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within the company and external parties
  • Ability to handle large volumes of information and present it in an accurate, simple and relevant format.
  • Problem solving ability is essential
  • Ability to work under pressure and keep to tight deadlines
  • MS Excel proficiency
  • SAP, BPC knowledge is preferred, but not a must.
