FUNCTION: Leaf Operations

LOCATION: Flexible Location

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is accountable to strategize and implement trade coverage plans for the specific area and region. The individual would also ensure all marketing activities are executed as per international marketing practices and corporate guidelines.

Reports to: Agronomy Manager

Reporting Level: Individual Contributor

Geographic Scope: Local

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• To ensure timely collection, compilation and communication of statistics or any other information pertaining to Leaf Agronomy Department.
• To ensure timely raising of SCEs/SREs for new Technology procurement as per approved CAPEX. and follow up till their approval/procurement.
• Preparation/ execution of land lease documents for seed production plots / varietal trials.
• To arrange pesticide residue analysis from centre and the analysis of soil /fertility for samples of leaf area.
• Responsible for ensuring achievement of PTC’s EH&S and quality policies in all relevant activities falling under his/her scope.
• Ensure Social Accountability System of PTC is implemented in accordance with Social Accountability Policy Manual, Procedures Manual and the Forms Manual.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Have familiarity with Leaf functions/and departmental objectives.
• Have a sound knowledge of all operational Computer packages.
• Knows typing and shorthand and understands procedures, rules, regulations, instructions and guidelines regarding Leaf functions and BAT.
• Basic knowledge, concepts and understanding of Accounting, Employee Relation, EH&S Policies and overall Company procedures/instructions laid down for leaf functions.
• To foresee/visualise problems in R&D Administration and takes vital remedial measures accordingly.
